Hello! My name is Susannah, and I’m a New England-based natural history artist.
Illustrating the world is an act of preservation. For me, drawing began as a way to study and “collect” specimens without disturbing the ecosystem. It soon turned into a mode of self-expression.
The intricacies of the natural world fascinate me. I work in traditional media – almost exclusively watercolor. I also experiment with charcoal, pastels and pencil. Final images can be delivered digitally or physically.
If you’re interested in licensing an existing work or commissioning a new one, please contact me directly. I’ll be happy to put together an estimate.
